Robbins reportedly threatened Washington Post reporter Lloyd Grove for interviewing Sarandon's mother, saying "if you ever write about my family again, I will (bleeping) find you and I will (bleeping) hurt you."

Maybe he was just acting like a "Peace Activist" all of this time?

According to the Post Sarandon's mother claimed in the interview that Robbins and her daughter had "brainwashed" her grandson about the war.

In the press club address Tuesday, Robbins said called "sadistic creep who writes -- or, rather, scratches his column with his fingernails in dirt."


These "Peace Creeps" are self destructing at an alarming rate.

I'm kind of torn on this one. I feel that their parents should be left alone for their sake because they didn't choose to be int he public spotlight, but on the other hand, if they WANT to be interviewed, then I don't see how he has any say in it.

I've got to say that I respect this guys freedom of speech, but what a quack! I don't respect the fact that this guy thinks he's earned the right to make people listen to him. Anybody can yap away all they want everyday, but its everyone else's right to ignore him. And it's also people's right to give him the opportunity to speak. The Baseball Hall of Fame is not a government-run institution, is it? They do NOT owe him anything. Tim Robbin's rights have not been infringed upon in any way shape or form. And as far as his "silent majority" goes, where are they in the polls? Are they too scared to give an anonymous response to an approval rating? If so, the least of their worry's should be the Patriot Act, it should be their mental health. If I'm supposed to feel bad for him because he's experiencing a backlash for his views than he's got to learn that as a public person, whose job it is, is to sell themselves to the public, he's not going to get very far by insulting them or their intelligence. Its like a monkey flinging poo at a crowd of spectators at the zoo, and then begging them for food afterward. I'm not going to feed this ape.

Also you can refer to ANY Ex-Soviet Jew and they'll give you a good idea of just how many of their friends and relatives were wisked away in the latter part of the night without ever being heard from again. "How would I know?" you might ask. My girlfriends father was taken that way back in the 1970s for publishing what was thought to be an anti-government brochure for a state company in Surgut. She still hasnt seen or heard from him yet.

I wonder if he threatened Sarandon's mother the same way he threatened the reporter who merely wrote what Sarandon's mother TOLD him?

He talks about free speech. I wonder what he means because for the most part he has been able to say whatever the hell he wants to say. Does he consider the Cooperstown thing to be an effort denying him free speech? If so then he must have planned on giving more anti-war/anti-Bush speeches at that event. Maybe he should sue Petrosky for denying him his free speech, or can you only sue the government for that?
