I think you're generalizing there. It's possible that his marriage had no problems. His desires just got the worse out of him and then he did what we know he ended up doing. Unless there's proof his marriage was failing, I wouldn't call it the way that you just did.

Your opinion isn't anymore right or wrong then the other person who said that "IF" he was in a similar situation, he could see himself doing that. I only take issue with some of what you (and others) are saying because you act like it could never happen to you. I have known people who were devoutly devoted to their wife one day, could NEVER see a divorce happening, but it did. Things happen.

Maybe he is just better at being a realist, because a lot of people here have no clue how they would act if they were rich and powerful. You love your wife, congrats.
