I've used RealVNC viewer free for years, and recently tried out all the other VNC apps landing a preference on TightVNC. I had to move off of RealVNC due to the free version not supporting multiple users on Win7, as I had to run it as an application and not a service, causing issues as I wanted to really control the PC.
The only thing I don't like about TightVNC it is the vertical scrolling speed while in fullscreen.
I noticed on this page http://www.tightvnc.com/vncviewer.1.php the reference to bumpScrollTime, bumpScrollPixels, which is exactly what I'm looking to adjust.. but the horizontal scrolling is different, and reasonable already.. so I'm afraid the values don't match and even if I find how to change these values, it won't effect the vertical scrolling.
I've tried a number of workarounds, including the RealVNC Viewer with TightVNC server, which does work properly in regards to scrolling but sometimes it seems to lock me into only quadrant of my remote monitor, which renders it useless until I use another client or restart.
I get the best results sticking to TightVNC Server with TightVNC Viewer.
I also tried out UltraVNC and a few others, but really didn't like them. UltraVNC seems incredibly popular but has way too much crap attached to it for my taste, and it still didn't do what I need it to do, correctly.
Any TightVNC people here that have run into this before? I'm willing to try another client if that's a solution.
