Tighter ram settings

Can I run my OCZ 2gb pc2-6400 platinum rev1 4-5-4-15@400MHZ at tigher timing (ie 4-4-4-12)? Will it cause any decrease in performance?

pretty much what theorignalamdoverclocker said. if your memory supports it and is stable, keep it that way. i have some cheap DDR memory that's rates at 3-3-3-8 and i run it at 2.5-3-3-7 without any additional voltage. it's not asmuch latency but it does improve performance.

You can probably do those timings w/o upping the voltage. If not the vdimm increase will be marginal. If you want to oc the frequency and the timings, a .2vdimm increase sounds about right. The revision 2 of that OCZ RAM runs 4-4-4-12 timins and I believe it is 2.1v.

EDIT: Al contre` it will increase performance.
