Coworker came to me this morning with a laptop question. He asked me if it's possible to "tighten" his laptop screen. Wasn't sure what he meant. From his description, he said his son and nephew had a habit of picking up the open laptop by the screen 1/2 and now the screen seemed to be loose. It sounds like it's loose behind the bezel.

Is there a way to fix this? Maybe remove the bezel and tighten screws?

What kind of laptop is it? Sometimes there are exposed screws on the back, they are usually for the hinges.

usually there is one screw exposed for each hinge, and usually 2 on each hinge that are under a removable pice by the hinges. Most ones I have seen have had 3 screws, I have seen a few with 4. this is just for the base, the ones in the LCD may be loose too.

if its not loose from the screws, sone hinges themselves can be tightened stiffer by turner a bolt or screw that is the middle (piece going through the hinge) part of the hinge.

This is a good case of user abuse of a laptop. Many laptop hinges are sealed and cannot be adjusted.

Hinge is loose, you'll probably have to open it up completely, disassemble the base first completely, then disassemble the screen. Its TBH a PITA for most laptops, not worth the effort. Ask them to goto their manufacturer to get it repaired.

Also search for a repair manual for his laptop model online. These are very helpful when taking it apart to tighten the bezels.
