Eh, I don't know. I used to be as anti-Tiger Direct as the next guy, but lately they seem to have wised up. They have had some pretty good deals, and they don't involve their previously used "rebates you're never going to get" method to make them pretty good deals.

I'd still order from Newegg, etc.. first, but I also wouldn't hesitate to pick up something there if I see a good deal.

Correct, they went under new management several years ago and they've made a huge turn-around on service and support. However, people still remember the TigerDirect of old.

I had no idea, and continued to dismiss them out-of-hand based upon their old reputation.

their canadian website went down for like a week or so... their dns registration was just renewed so maybe that had something to do with it.

WTF is wrong with tiger direct? Their rebates are hit or miss, but the ability to go to a B&M and pick up many things at online prices that I couldn't get otherwise is a HUGE PLUS.

who else would have had a PCI to PCMCIA adapter in stock?

I had to do a dispute with my CC in order to get my money back for something that came DOA, quite a few years ago now though. You should never have to do that though.

And I'm sure plenty of places.

Lucky me, I have a TD store 2 miles away. Yes they have good deals, getting your rebates are much better than years back. Every time I pay a visit, they have new things to look at.

How about sharing some that would in S. Florida? Even one other place?
