No wonder I've waited for six days and it appears my order is not shipped yet.

Tigerdirect is pretty fast for me... I ordered a HDD and they got it to me in 4 business days (I selected 5-7 standard snail mail)

However Newegg is even faster. I ordered over the weekend and they had my stuff out of the warehouse sunday night. It arrived today morning.

As for Monarch Computer.... I ordered the same time as Newegg, 2 day shipping (vs Newegg's 3 day shipping), and I'm still waiting on that shipment to leave the warehouse...

Yeah Newegg is as quick as it gets. I routinely order stuff right up until the 12:30PST deadline and have it the next day.

Monarch USED to be good but nothing but horror stories the past 6 months or so.

TigerDirect has always been shaky at best.

This is really my first large-scale online shopping experience. So assisted with pricegrabber and dealalert with the goal of keeping costs low, I bought items from as much as 7 different retailers. The processing times and this experience will help me choose who to buy from in the future.

So far, my report card is such:
Newegg: 5/5
Tigerdirect: 4/5
The rest: pending... we'll see.

i ordered a hdd from tigerdirect the 19th, after 5 days of processing it went on backorder even though they said it was still in stock, went back to processing like 4 days later (28th i think) and is now shipping, says it will be here sept. 2

not so good for my first purchase ever from them, especially when i ordered the case off newegg on the 21st and got it the 24th with ups 5-7 days ... but i appreciate that they understand the problem and are sorry for it

Okay, I just ordered a 27kg Cyberpower UPS from Compsource on Tuesday night and it got here Thursday morning! That's crazy! I selected 5-7 day shipping too!

Now it's sitting in my room doing nothing cuz the parts I ordered from Monarchcomputer last Saturday for 2 day shipping STILL HASN'T BEEN SHIPPED OUT YET!
