I would suggest that everyone call and get the status on the rebates. I just called, and sure enough, they cannot find anything on either of the 2 rebates I sent in. The call now goes into Tiger to get my $30 and $20 rebates... I do recall someone saying from Tiger that we WILL get the rebates, I need to find this guy's info.

Christine, at IO Data support, couldn't find my info in the system.
She claimed there were about 400 that weren't entered, and took my number saying she'd call back.

Of course they are. That way if you forget, they don't pay you. If you remember, they probably won't pay you. If you become a legal threat, then they pay you and no wrong was done.

Don't you guys know the drill by now?

That's exactly what they told me as well. I talked to that same lady and she also said she would be calling me back. I will be calling back every day until my rebate comes! They WILL be getting sick of me!

Was just thinking about this today and how I hadnt recieved it yet. was thinking about sending off an email but then I thought "well I hadnt gotten the mail yet today.. might as well put it off till tonight". sure enough in todays mail was the $30 rebate.

I called IO-Data again. Christine now claims they'll receive a new batch of rebate checks and will
send out this Friday.
She mentioned a lot of people sent in copies of their email as the "original receipt from Tiger direct". IO Data
had wanted the packing slips but will honor the rebate..


So I guess it's wait another week and see. :disgust:

Latest status: apparently, they're sitting on about 1000 pending rebates! The support person Christine claims they're waiting for more rebate checks from corporate headquarters. (and yes.. hoping they'll be handled in a week. Yeah right, I wouldn't count on it.)

IO Data sucks.
TigerDirect sucks. Why run the offer if they're not even going to follow through?
Avoid both of these companies. Buy your gear elsewhere.

I emailed him a few days ago and the next day I was CC'ed from an internal Tigerdirect email to someone, possibly in accounting, with orders to issue me the $30 credit.

Now that's a company that stands behind their customers' interests. He further said that they no longer deal with this vendor. Thumbs up for Tigerdirect.com.
