While may not come your own harem of hookers, bar bitches, and club-wielding supermodels, it's a pretty good game. They've done a good job with the putting mechanics. No real graphical improvements, which is a disappointment, but the gameplay is solid as always.

Right now I don't have my own Xbox hooked up, but if I play the game on another console using a USB drive as the storage device, will I be able to load that profile on my own Xbox later on?
 
I think the aiming system makes the game a lot more challenging, doesn't it SR1729? Or so I've read. Quite tempted to get it.
Anything that would make tournaments and online tournaments end at a more realistic score would be nice. 25 under every round isn't even reasonable.
 
@RedRooster - Definitely. I think it makes for a more authentic round of golf.

@jdport - It's hard for me to say since I actually skipped last year's installment. But I hear there are a lot more online options than there have been previously. But then again I mostly play solo or with ppl sitting next to me.
 
Does anyone know if the profile/save data is tied to the console? Can I use a USB drive for a portable profile?
 
Yeah I'm not buying this until it does a better job of simulating real golf with actual reasonable scores.
 
The scores is why I won't buy this. Look at the tourney leaderboards, ppl are 80 or more under in 4 rounds. There really is no challenge with the TW games anymore. The only reason I bought them in the past was I had 2 buddies who would come over and play it with me against each other.

I remember the first time I played a online tourney, I went 10 under. Thought I had a pretty good round, only to see someone went 24under the same round. The TW games have great graphics but the scores aren't even reasonable.

Ad long as you get it on the green your golden, they need to figure something out, the game isn't balanced at all. If they ever figure it out I will buy it the week it comes out..
 
Thee new "true aim" makes a round MUCH harder. That's for sure.
I still simply DO NOT GET why:

A) The graphics suck. Honestly they do. They haven't gotten a single step better in years. It's a golf game. It shouldn't be hard.

B) I can't save a round in the middle of it. It's either play all 18, or nothing. What? Stupid.

It should be autosave and load so you can't just keep retrying the holes. You would have to save after each swing though.

That could be an option I guess, but that's borderline cheating I'd think.
I'm just asking for an option that when I am mid-round and something comes up, or I just don't have enough time to finish 18 holes in a sitting. I want to be able to save where I am and then continue later. WHY this can't be done in a golf game, out of ALL the sports games, I don't understand.

I thought 09 looked much better than 08, but it hasn't improved much since then.
