Almost as addicting as heroin (well, it seems like it).

I can't put the controller down, I've been playing for five straight hours and am taking a piss/smoke break.

Buy this game if your a sports fan/simulation fan. So badass.

only 5 hours...? You don't know addiction until you've binged on Final Fantasy 7 for 12 straight hours. Neighbor and I ordered food, ate while playing...it was bad man...

This is a repetitive thing though. Shoot, chip, putt, etc.

Still, 12 hours man. GOOD GOD!

Eh, review in this thread didn't seem so hot:

I got '06 the other day. So far its not much different than '05 except for the retro stuff, and online people are having real problems with the new "ready play" mode. For those of you that really golf, ready play is for speeding up play when you are being pushed from a group behind you. Once you get to your ball, you hit it instead of waiting for the farthest from the hole to hit, as you would with normal play.

Big problem doing that online. The lag it causes some people is terrible, and I end up playing the entire round with people bitching about lag. Think of it, four golfers hitting at once on the (already poor) EA servers. It's just too much for them to handle. In our foursome last night just two people had teed off, I was getting ready to and the guy says "finished, birdie". For the servers to track all that causes HUGE problems, so all I can say is if you get it, turn off ready play in your options.

Courses are nice, play is a bit harder, graphics are about the same. Wait for a deal if you want to buy it IMHO.
Personally I'll just stick with '04

Now that I look back on it, I realize it was one of the best gaming moments of my life...and I'll be sure to say that when VH1 does a panel show about me.

Was that on a console? Because I've played a threesome on my LAN before in TW2005.

How the heck can most servers support 32 people shooting at each other at the same time but not 4 people playing golf? Thats plain sad

I'm frustrated with 2006..

The soundtrack in 2006 isn't anything new (even the announcers) except for the one lame DMB song. I'm sick of hearing the announcers say the same sh!t.

Also, I miss the Legends Tour..

If you play it on an Xbox, use your own soundtrack 🙂

Boycott EA.

I do. I don't own Tiger Woods 05. My friend does and I play when I'm at his place. I do own Hot Shot Golf.

The last EA game I bought was Tiger Woods 04.

Either you suck or you played it again and again...

if its anytying like Tigerwoods 2005 I dont want to play it. That game seriously was way to much like real golf. I like golf games and i understand the rules of golf but seriously....that game had so many options..you could customize your own swing? HTF should I know what to do with a club..I just want to push A, and then A again to hit the ball...
