from what ive read from other reviews, saying that 10 is basically 09 with a couple extra's.

do any of you Own both? and what is your thoughts on this.

for the price difference, im almost leaning towards 09. Golf players dont change as rapidly as team sports such as Football...etc.

i think the difference is like $20 for 09 and $60 for 10.

It pretty much is, yes. The only thing '10 adds really is the single putter like Links, which is nice. The Live tournaments, so you can play against the real life scores of whatever tournament is going on that weekend. And the live weather, where it downloads the real weather of whatever course you're golfing at, at the moment.
I played the hell out of '09(got it as a gift) and liked it so much I bought '10 the week it came out. Didn't blow me away really, but the couple little things were an alright upgrade. Honestly, if you didn't care how horrible the putting was in previous games(multiple putters was the dumbest thing I ever heard), just get '09, it was still a really good game.

they are virtually identical. i don't even use the analog putting and i use the 3 click for putting so the new putting feature is moot for me.

like you said golf doesn't change much year by year and neither do the players, so it's just not worth it. if you aren't worried about playing online much i'd just get 09, otherwise i'd get 10.

I just always found it really hokey that you had like 4 putters in your bag, for different distances. Having just one is way more realistic, especially when you like to use the swing stick like it was meant to be used. A little more challenging at least.
If I were you, I'd just 09 and hope there's still people online to play if you care about that. Then get '11 new when it comes out, it'll hopefully be a bigger upgrade.

I didn't play 09... but I love Tiger Woods 10 so far. The motion+ gives it one more dimension as it can detect any rotation of your wrists during your swing and cause a hook or a slice as appropriate. ... I can't say how the gameplay compares to 09 having not played it... but everything about 10 so far is really fun. I've been playing it for a couple of weeks now.

edit: of course if you're not playing this on a wii, then motion+ is irrelevant...

It seems like no matter the system, putting is always a PITA. At least for me. :) That's where most of my rounds go awry. Thank goodness for putt preview and the like.

I played the demo's of both last night
my judgement leads me to believe that there pretty much the same game. if not for the layout to hit the ball with (3 Click) i though 09 overall was an easier game to control. Graphically looked identically with 10 having that putt feature where if you missed you saw from teh other side. im gonna keep trying it. but Im gonna have to side with 09 on this one.

Funny, that's how my real golf games go. I'm solid gold until I hit the green.
