Tiger will not shut down

Hello all,

In an effort to save time I cloned the hard drive from my iMac G3 to a FireWire drive, then cloned into PB G3 Pismo. All the applications seem to work.
The installation is Tiger with all updates as of now.

The Pismo now doesn't shut down properly. When I select either Shudown or Restart, all windows close and I see just the background with the mouse cursor (which is movable). It just sits there.

After a power remove and reboot I get the "system restarted after an exception" error dialog, offering following details:

Is there some driver I need to swap out for the Pismo?
If it's any help, I ran Repair Permissions and many items showed as repaired.

I gave up, reinstalled from scratch. Now powers off fine.

It probably had to due with the fact that the iMac G3 is a desktop while the Pismo is a laptop and they use different functions when shutting down.
