Just made it official that he's the winner of the final round at Bay Hill. Good for him.

Too bad the adulterer is back. Be nice to see someone else do well.

Way to judge him 'cause he likes to fuck more than one woman. What he should've done was not marry this nanny and just be a player for life.

Yeah... I'd have a lot more respect of him if he didn't pretend to be a family man. He's more like the Charlie Sheen of golf :)

That said, watching The Masters is going to be a LOT more interesting two weeks from now.

Not this shit again. We watch sports for talent, not their home life. Michael Jordan was a dick off the court, but he's still the greatest NBA player of all time.

He was just around before 24-7 celebrity coverage, Twitter, social media, etc.

Womanizing, gambling, and generally dickish. But the media didn't really want to show Jordan in too bad a light.

He punched Steve Kerr (and Bill Perdue) in the face:

LOL he won ONE non-major tournament and had one big round a few weeks back, I'd say he still has a ways to go.

That said, he should do well at the The Masters. He probably knows the Augusta course better than most golfers on the planet.

For any other golfer it wouldn't mean as much. For Tiger, this one win may be all that's needed to get his head screwed back on right. If he can stay healthy he might end up dominating this year.

What? Golf doesn't need shit... it's been around for hundreds of years and isn't going anywhere.

Jesus, these articles are not that hard to find.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/apr/10/what-has-tiger-changed-about-golf-everything/

Most people don't watch golf to see guys like Johnson Wagner (Seriously - there's a guy named Johnson Wagner). I'm a golfer and for the most part I could give two shits about these silver spoon, country club types.

People watch Tiger Woods, and golf will recede if he fades away.

I'm not talking about the game as a spectator sport... who watches golf? People have been playing it forever. Tiger just finally made it fun to watch.

If I gave a shit about how good someone was as a person, I wouldn't watch any professional sports. Competitiveness and dickishness tend to go hand-in-hand. It doesn't bother me that Tiger liked to sleep around any more than it bothers me that Magic Johnson liked to sleep around. What someone does off the court defines how good they are as a person, not an athlete. Is Tiger a good person? I don't know. Don't really care. He's damn fun to watch when he's on his game though.

No, he's won a cubic fuckton of stuff and people are interested to see if he can capture that same magic that made him untouchable for over a decade. We're not talking about some unproven commodity, we're talking about someone who was seriously considered a candidate for "best golfer of all time" before his adultery scandal and subsequent decline. People want to know if he's going to pass Jack Nicklaus. They wouldn't give two shits if it was some random kid off the street, but it isn't; it's Tiger Woods.

yeah, its pretty amazing how Jordan avoided that rep, I guess he kind of lucked out as his prime didn't really coincide with the internet, I think he really might have been more hated than Kobe or even LeBron. Instead, people remember him strictly for his game play.

Jordan's HoF acceptance speech and Hitler mustache might shed some light on how much of a jerk he probably was. But that shouldnt change the fact that he was great basketball player. As much as people liked to root for Tiger, they tore him down pretty fast. I dont think people particularly care if they are rooting for or against athletes. Doing one or the other makes them feel like they are involved. I guess in a way its good for any sport to have heroes and villains, but there is an ugliness thats amplified by the 24/7 coverage and internet thats turns me off to all of it.

+1 for Tiger and I hope he destroys the field at the Masters.

His screwing around is on him.
