Tiger direct Ultra memory

They've got a single 512 pc3200 cl3 stick that comes in at $59 after rebate. Anyone have any experience with this ram? It's their store brand "Ultra".

Notice how it says CL 3?
That means that the ram has very high latencies. a good stick of PC 2700 or even PC 2100 could probably be faster than that.
If you want to go for PC 3200, get either Kingston, Corsair, or OCZ.

is there a good bit of difference between cas 2.5 and 3?

Just go to the store and get some Kingston ValueRAM. Should be around that price. That rebate won't come

it's not worth the couple of bucks less
