tiger direct experiences

anyone have any good experiences with them?

a friend is building a budget system with possibly a abit kv7, athlon xp 3000+, & ultra 512MB bundle from tiger direct for $139 after $60 rebate.

Everyone complains, but I've never had a problem with them....I probably wouldn't trust them for any big rebates, though.

One of the retailers with the worst ethics on the planet. I used to work for a company that manufactures PCs for them and it was horrible. I heard so many things that their "people" said that is just wrong.

it's one of those companies where you're fine if the order is fine. but if they mess up, you're screwed.

I've only used them a couple of times but haven't had any problems. Took about 2 months for the rebate to make it, but it finally did.

IMHO it's not worth it to order from them just to save a few bucks. Go with Mwave, ZipZoomFly, or Newegg FTW!

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I had a *great* experience with Tiger Direct and wanted to give them some good pub here. I ordered a Soyo LCD with a $70 rebate. Well, OnRebate.com denied it saying I didn't include the UPC (I did) and no resubmits were allowed. I called Tiger Direct and within 5 minutes the CS rep credited me the full $70 rebate. Talk about customer satisfaction!
