I was wondering if there was an image viewer or something close to it for nt. I tried some of the other programs on nt and word and the quality of the tiff file is low. Would there be an image viewer kind of program for nt that is a free download or something?

$25 for TiffyView (viewer only)
$30 for PixShow (has limited editing capabilities)
free or $13 for NewView
$100 for Paint Sho Pro (much more powerful than the above...basically a cheap version of photoshop that will do pretty much everything you need and more unless you're into professional editing/manipulation of images. also opens about every graphics file format known to (wo)man)

NT includes an imaging program called 'Imaging', it's under Start; Programs; Accessories, it will do TIFFs.

Since TIFF is a lossless format (unlike JPEG), if the images don't look as crisp or sharp it's probably the way the they were intended.

I use compupic. Works great under win2k. There is a free 30 day demo on their website www.photodex.com. A search on the web will find a crack for it.
