I hate wearing a freaking tie to work!
Why don't ties ever go out of style? They have been around in some form or another for like 500 years. Maybe we should start wearing powder wigs to work as well.
I won't have you sitting in my office looking like that. This isn't your dorm room, it's a place of business.

You keep missing the point. Why don't ties go out of style already? It's a over priced piece of cloth tied to my neck like a freaking noose.
Hell yeah.We need to bring back wearing a hat as part of style...

Silly young people and their idealistic, alternate world scenarios. T-shirts and flip-flops. Pfft. Next thing you'll be complaining about is "Why can't I just work from home?" and "I"ve been at this company for TWO MONTHS; how come I don't have a week of paid vacation?"
The American standards of professional dress and appearance dictate a tie and jacket (not necessarily a matched jacket/pants, but that's preferable.). It just give a more professional image. You have to look the part too, not just be good at what you do.
