I have an interview at Target tomorrow for a summer job as a cashier. Should I wear a tie or not? I'll be wearing nice khakis, a buttoned shirt, and nice shoes/matching belt.

The least I wear for any job interviews is long sleeve dressshirt, nice tie, dress/khaki pants, matching belt and shoes. I also bring a nice leather porfolio with me.

wear the target uniform so they can see how dedicated you are =P

LOL, one time I was in Target, I had a nice red polo shirt with light color khaki pants and customers kept asking me for help.

Consider that from the perspective of the interviewer, they will generally believe that what you wear to the interview is the best you ever intend to dress while working for them and judge accordingly.

Voted tie, then I read Target.

on that same note, i've heard from numerous people that target is quite possibly the worst place you could ever work, ever.

I always overdressed for interviews, no matter the other party, unless specifically told otherwise.

I will even outdo you. I will bring a look alike Target dog with a red/white target on one of its eyes, dress in red polo/white khaki and a big red/white target on BOTH eyes. :D
