If I get a ticket, when does it show up on my record? My date isn't until mid July, so I intend to pay the ticket in July. Does it show up when I receive the ticket? When I pay the ticket? Or after my date?

You should be able to search your county records. In general it shows up on file within 2 weeks. You need to pay it within 30 days (at least here) or a warrant will be put out for your arrest.

Points is really what drives insurance and your record...if you get out of the points just the fine is your penalty.

Ill have to check into it then. I got the ticket 2 weeks ago, but my court date isn't until July 19th.
