Which calc should I go with TI89 or HP49G? I'm a third year Mechanical Engineering student and I think it's time to upgrade from my TI82.

I went from the TI8 to the TI89. It was a big step, but the menus and the logic were the similar. I've used a friends HP, and I almost couldn't use it. "I" thought that the user interface sucked, and to get anything done, you have to be fluent in RPN. I don't like RPN... So It wasn't for me.

rpn is much nicer and faster than algebraic once you get used to it. i got a 49g after playing with my friends' 89s and the 49g emulator that can be found online. i would get the 49g+ which is a new, better version of the 49g.
