I am getting a lot of artifacts on my new ti4200 64 meg card. I oc'ed it a little but even after setting it back to normal the artifacts still presist in UT2003. Ihave a 1800+ xp epox 8kha+ 768 megs pc2100. What could be causing this? Is the card dead? ...

what driver version are you using? if it's anything less than v40.72 then update them because they fixed all of the problems I was having with UT2003.

Thank you that worked. but now i'm suffering from what I believe is called "flaring" its when different parts of the screen refresh at slightly different rates. lines seem to appear on the screen. What can I do to fix this? BTW my card is currently not overclocked.

i happen to have a viewsonic pf790 19 inch and they have drivers believe it or not. have you tried looking for drivers for your monitor? just a thought.

I had the same problem had to lower the hardware acceleration in display properties one notch. It still happens sometimes but not as much as before. I used 3dmark after and my scores stayed the same.

No it's a PNY card. Also changing hardware acceleration did not seem to effect it. And yes I knew there were drivers and I have the latest version.
