I'm looking at getting a Ti200 and was wondering if anyone could give a recommendation of either the VisionTek Xtasy 6564 GeForce3 Titanium Ti200 or the Gainward/CardExpert Geforce3 Ti200 Golden Sample.

Any advice on the matter would be much appreciated. =)

Thanks.

Gainward tends to have the best 2D with nVIDIA products IMO. The boards also tend to overclock better than other manuf. Visiontek makes pretty good boards as well. Not as well known for overclocking.

As I already mentioned in another thread - I'd try to get the Gainward Gf3ti460 instead of the Gf3Ti450 because it features 3.8ns DDR instead of 4.5ns DDR.

If u need good 2d image quality ( >1600x1200) then I'd prefer the Gainward.

Otherwise get the cheapest card of them or look out for the Gainward with fast DDR - this card should give you Ti500 performance for less money.

The VisionTek Ti 200 should be a solid board and is cheaper too. If you plan to tweek the card and you are willing to spend a few bucks more, Gainward's Ti/450 should be able to overclock higher and have very solid 2D. IMO, you can't go wrong with either board.

Anyone got or know if the Gainward/CardExpert Geforce3 Ti500 Golden Sample is out yet.
It is illustrated on their website, but unable to find a distributer in UK. If anyone knows of one please reply.

Thanks

The problem with the Ti460 is that we don't know if it will be introduced in the US. At this point it seems that Gainward (German Company( will be introducing it in Europe. No news in the states.

As to the Ti500, I called a place that sells a fair amount of Gainward cards. They indicated that it would be the first or second week of November.
