TI Calculator Connection Cable: Did I Get Raped On The Price?

I got my TI-83+ today, and got the USB connection cable. The cable costed $25 CND, which is about $17 USD. Did I get ripped off?
 
Yes. All mine have been $15 on the spot, $0 if I bother to send in the rebate. I have like 10 of them - I pick one up every time I grab a calculator (I chew through TI-83+'s like a machine - those Z80's can't last through my abuse. My TI-89 has outlasted them all (Plus I have 10 identical M68k CPUs that I could drop in if I manage to fry this one)
 
Rebate is in (or part of?) the package. Assuming you got the USB link cable. Parallel and serial links do not have rebates.
