TI-86 Please help I am SCREWED

All of a sudden, my 86 flashed up my screen, and then it turned off.
Now I can't turn it on

I replaced batteries, and backup. Dunno what to do.

Please help

take both batteries and backup out, then put backup in adn put a fresh pair of batteries in, if it doesn't work it's fried.

those things have a capacitor in there right? wait a few minutes to make sure the charge is dissipated. other than i have no idea. in fact i am probably full of BS as it is. good luck.
