TI-84 plus question.

Can the 84 plus do the same engineering calculations that the 86 can? My professor was telling me I am better off with the 86 because of that very reason. Has anyone had any experience?

Oh and another question. Are the keystrokes on the 86 the same as the 84 plus?

If you go with the 86, why not just go with the 89?

As far as the 83/84, you'd need to download apps to have some of the functionality the 86 has.

I have used the 89 before and it is way too complicated IMO.

I have used pretty much every TI graphing calculator and my all time favorite is the TI-89. Not the new TI-89 Titanium though, the buttons sucks.

All other calculators have crappy screens and problem displays. Further, the solving capability is way lacking. MBrown, if you can use a computer, you can use a TI-89. It does take a wee bit of time to get used to the interface and the functions, but in the end, the TI-89 is invaluable.
