TI-83 Emulator?

i need the calculator for the calc class i am going to be taking, but i also need a laptop too and i am a cheap bastard. i was wondering if there are any ti-83 emulators for the computer? i would like to put the ti-83 money toward the laptop...

Why not just get a ti-83 and use a laptop emulator? It would be cheaper.

the emulator is free but you still need the rom. If I'm not mistaken, the rom is copyrighted material and you would legally need to own a ti-83 to get the emulator working.

They aren't going to let you use a laptop on a calc test. If they do, someone needs to be fired.

Edit: I just realized that they probably don't let you use a calculator on the test anyway.

I use Virtual TI. It kinda sucks IMO. I'd probably look for something better. Its rather buggy.
