ti-4200 upgraded to DX9c now problems

I have an amd 700, with 512mb of pc-133 ram, xp pro, 4200 64mb, and befor upgarding to DX9 I had no problems, except the load up of the eidos banner and nvidia was choppy sounding and lookng, after DX9 it looked smooth and great, but it stops loading whats it trys to bring up the menu after the banners go by, i also have the latest drivers from nvidia as well. I mean it freezes after the load bar completes and I have to manually restart. this is Deus ex 2 invisible wars, by the way. if that helps.
 
patch is upgraded, I mean it worked fine befor the patch, I upgraded it to see if it would fix it but id does not.
