the compgeeks one is an OEM one.


its got 250/512 clocks, i've had one before, they are made for compaq/hp so they arent the ti4600 board based one on asus' site.

Most asus ti4200 are just like other ti4200's . the one you put a link to is with BGA memory and a ti4400/ti4600 pcb. A few manufaturers make what is essentially a ti4400 and label it a 4200. This looks to just be the plain ti4200 though. There are multiple versions of ti4200 from asus.

As I mentioned in another thread, the 64MB 4X AGP is actually a tad slower than the 128 MB 8X:

128MB 4X AGP stock memory speed = 444 MHz DDR
64MB 4X AGP stock memory speed = 500 MHz DDR
128MB 8X AGP stock memory speed = 512 MHz DDR

When nVidia wrote the minimum specs for the version of the 4200, they upped the RAM speed (perhaps so it'd bench a bit higher, in order to get people to buy the more expensive version over the earlier ones).

Just wanted to correct this common misconception about the 128MB 8X card.

Fyi - received mine this morning from compgeeks.com Comes in a new anti-static bag, though it's shipped OEM. Worked fine on the install and runs smooth. Didn't realize it came with a TV Out 🙂

Hmm that picture they have up looks kind of like a reference gf3..
I think the 64mb agp 8x ones are also clocked 512mhz. Why don't you just check it on your card though if you're wondering?
