got rid of my clk because of the electrical problems and high cost of maintenance. paid $500 to replace one AMG wheel that had a crack. was a fun car though, but MB quality has been slipping over the years. eyeing a 2006 cls500 though, we'll see

Holy crap...what year is your C55?

2006 and it's one of the later ones, made in May I believe.

Should have just bought a damn 335i I'm beginning to feel, at least the BMW dealership is only a 1/4 mile from my house instead of in the town I work - 45 miles away.

Edit - Prior to this I drew a line in the sand with myself and said after this last repair as long as I could make it another 6 months until my Service B with no additional problems then I would keep the car. Now I am not so sure. Big decision time.

Is it a Honda 2006 cls500...if not we know you're just trolling.

Oh wow...that is fairly new. To be honest the 335i could have been just as troublesome...the N54 hasn't been known for rock solid reliability.

Yeah but part of me would rather deal with a known problem like the HPFP vs these electrical gremlins which occur randomly and can't easily be fixed.

Took it back in this morning, managed to get the Auto AC shutting off twice in 20 seconds on video and showed it to the tech, told them I don't want it back until it's fixed, even if every component in the system has to be replaced.

Over the weekend I also discovered that the dome light no longer works when the doors are opened(that whole assembly was replaced to fix the sunroof issue) so that's being addressed as well.

Tried to convince them to give me the nice black SL55 they had as a loaner but alas it wasn't to be. Mmm blown V-8. :p
