Thus begins the last summer vacation of my life..

Essh.. the real world is one year away. I am not usre how I am going to deal with losing my non real adulthood ness.. I guess I will see what happens when I get here.

But, for the last time in my life I am going to pack up from school, go home, and waste away for a few months (not counting a job, but an internship still dosen't equal real life).

It's kind of scary to think about it....
 
enjoy it while it lasts, i graduated two years ago and it sucked not haveing a summer last year... its like June/July rolls around... nothing changes... still 8-5 mon-fri....

well.. i'm actually going back to school.. so i'll be enjoying summer again soon... you can also prolong the real world by going back to school!!!
 
The summer vacations are really the only thing that I miss from my school days. Everything else, well, thank God it's over!
 
Please. I haven't had a typical summer where you get to sit around and sleep in late everyday since 98', and I'm 21 now. 🙁

Yep. Enjoy life, but don't knock any girls up. Then you'll have to pay child support and if you want to actually be able to eat food, you'll need a second job. My life ended in December, 1995.
 
School life sucks. As far as I'm concerned you should be looking forward to the future. Summer vacations are overrated.
 
I've been working full time since I was 16, real life isn't really that bad.

You will, however, develop a certain disdain for people who bitch & moan about their summer vacation, spring break, Christmas break, etc.

Real life means 4 weeks paid vacation a year (if you're lucky), a few holidalys, & the SOS day in & day out year after year.

Get ready, it's coming.

Edit: This is my last one too as I graduate in December. At least two months of it will be spent in Europe!
 
This is also my last summer vacation. :|

In one way, I'm looking forward to it, and it another way I'm dreading it. But I don't think I'll have ANY problem finding good work w/ my education (judging from all the jobs I could get right now if i was graduated) so that is pretty uplifting.

Too late for me... I've already once "knocked up" my wife of 6 years, and am now trying to repeat. I guess it helps to not have Satan as an (ex)wife, though. 😉

I'll tell you one thing is for sure--time sure does pass quickly without those long summer vacations! Is that a good thing?
