Question Thunderbolt dock that doesn't suck but won't break the bank

Can anyone recommend a USB-C hub that doesn't cost an arm and a leg but also isn't crap? I bought this -> https://www.amazon.com/Lasuney-Docking-Station-Ethernet-Compatible/dp/B08CHCCP5S and every time I plug it in Windows 10 tells me the dock may have display problems. When I plug a USB mouse into it the mouse is extremely laggy. All I need to dock for is to connect USB-A devices and a monitor.

I've had much better luck with powered usb-c hubs. You might see if you can find a used dell TB16, WD19 or Lenovo dock 2 for cheap-ish. They wont work for power delivery obviously but ive had good luck using them for single monitor and USB stuff on multiple machines.
