Question Thunderbolt 3/4 compatibility

For thunderbolt 3/4 ports, is it backwards compatible with ASUS ROG STRIX NVME External Enclosure if I were to use a usb C gen 2, 10 gbps, cable?
 
Thunderbolt 3 and 4 are basically identical aside from the USB part. Both have 4 PCIe 3.0 lanes. And USB 3.x and 4.0 are also completely intercompatible.
