Thunderbird, worth the extra price over duron

Is the TBird worth the extra money? Duron @ 1000 or tbird @ 900

A Duron 1000 will run at about the same speed as a TBird 900, if not slower. The Duron starts off 5% slower at low clock speeds, but it gets whipped when the clock speeds approach IGHz because of its small cache.

However, you can probably find a pretested 1GHz Duron for less money than the TBird 900 (I'm guessing).
