Thunderbird Voltage?

I have a thunderbird 950, I am wondering what the voltage should be at? What are the problems associated with incorrect voltage settings? if the voltage is too low, can it cause teampature issues?

With voltage too low, it will lock up or crash, hence increasing voltage to oc. As for too high, it would cause higher temps and shorten life. Unless you WAY increase voltage (like past what mobo allows) I dont think it should be a problem. As for default...I think its around 1.6 or so, I know I run my 800 @946 at 1.7 volts or so, no probs. If I oc anymore I have to run at 1.75 (The max my board goes) and I'm not comfortable doing that since I dont have the money right now to replace something if I fry it, so I try to be conservative (800 @ 945 @ 1.7 volts...Is that conservative?)

Temp issues with a lower voltage? No set it as low as you can and run stable..... there is no voltage available on any KT133 board that will do any harm to the CPU.... the max is 1.85 and thats what I run so I can OC higher. The lower the temp is always better.

my 950 tbird default is 1.75
i changed it to 1.7 because the mbm5 reads the vcore as 1.84 when it's @ 1.75
1.7 v reads 1.79 v on it
is it safe to set the vcore lower than default settings if it's stable?
will i lose performance?
i did it cuz my cpu get hot

i am running my slot a tbird 700@900 at 1.6 volts, i dont think that's default. Im not sure tho, but that's a hella good number!

i can hit a gig at 1.8 but id rather not get the voltage too high unless i get a peltier

i don't get it...the default is 1.75 but i can run it stable @ 1.65 ...
what's the point in having it @ 1.75 than?
well...it doesn't do any harm ... temps stay the same ...

Losty, I think I read somewhere that voltage can fluxuate and what you are getting is normal. I might be wrong however so don't quote me on that.

I'm pretty sure Thunderbird 950's run at 1.75v.

yeah it does fluctuate...
when people say 600@900 1.75 v
is that the setting in the bios or the pc health reading?
i set my pc health reading to 1.75 (bios setting of 1.65)
will this harm the system? (no temp changes...stable though)
is there a benefit to lower voltage?

Depends. I have my voltage set at 1.75 and all programs read ~1.75. And I got a KT7-RAID. Some people have said that MBM and Via HM read 1.85 when it's set at 1.75 in the BIOS. Not sure though.
