Thunderbird update issues.

I've had issues updating Thunderbird to 2.0.0.12. Everytime it tries to automatically update I get "One or more files could not be updated..." and then it tries to restart the update which fails again and it gets stuck in a loop. I can't even open TB because it keeps trying to update and fails. It seems like a permission issue. I can't even delete the folder and install from a DL'd installation file because I don't have perms for mozMapi32.dll even though it's not read-only. I've also tried running TB as an admin, and nothing. Last time I just booted into Safe Mode, deleted TB's folder, and then rebooted and installed - I really don't want to have to do this everytime it updates. Anyone know what's going on?

Happening on my laptop as well. XP SP2. So I doubt it's something I'm doing directly. No one else has experienced this?

Hmm. Really bizarre. I'll have to track down the problem then. I suppose it has to be something else I have installed on both my computers.
