Hi,
I am looking at 2 DDR motherboards with 266FSB, it doesn't bother me whether uses via, ali or amd. I am looking at the MSI 6380 K7T266Pro and the Asus A7A266 boards.
Any suggestions as to which would be the best?

Thanx

those are very different boards, the a7a is based on ali magik chipset, and the msi is based on the via kt266 chipset. of the two i would pick a kt266 board(the msi one) but.... i would pick a board based on the amd 760 chipset over either of the others,
examples of amd760 boards:
epox 8k7a
gigabyte 7dx
msi k7 master
asus a7m266

I prefer the chipset of your MSI board
but I prefer the Asus brand.

I've had 3 MSI's
2 Asus boards (one amd and one intel)
and 2 Epox boards

I'm currently running the 8k7a and
from my experience, I'd rate em in this order:

1. Epox
2. Asus (close second)
3. MSI (I did not have trouble free experiences, although the boards are highly regarded review
wise)

Actually, the most troublefree installation and stable performing board I've used
the last few months was the Epox 8kta2, based on the via......

although my 8k7a has had some teething issues, I am enjoying it very much now
