So I recently set up a new PC, it is fully patched with Vista Home Premium SP2 and I installed the latest version of thunderbird. I then moved the emails and everything from the old XP machine, and everything seemed to import correctly.
But then, when i tried to open messages, it would take a really long time.. also would take a long time to print.
It sometimes said Thunderbird is not responding. very strange!
So i tried a few things which did not work:
- Compacting the inbox
- Starting thunderbird in safe mode
I was able to open emails fine but only when I booted windows into safe mode! this is baffling!!
I didn't have time to try this but does anyone think that removing the anti virus program would help? i could try another one i suppose....
Anyone have any ideas? thank you!
