Thunderbird error - Please enter valid host name

I put in my mail settings from comcast and get this error. I have tripple checked my entries and they are correct. :lost:

"please enter valid host name"

This is when I put in the pop and smtp settings

smtp.comcast.net
mail.comcast.net

Well the servers are responding to my ping requests.

You putting the names in the correct blanks (it is an easy mistake to make)? (outgoing server: smpt.comcast.net, incoming: mail.comcast.net)
