Browsing around the net I've seen a 1 gig Thunderbird with a 266 FSB and only 256kb L2 cache here. Has AMD released a 1.0 gig Thunderbird with a 266 FSB and 512kb of L2 cache yet? And if so it is available in Canada?

The only 512KB Athlons were the classics, and there aren't any chipsets for the classic that does 266FSB. You could resolder it so that it would work at 266FSB, but since there aren't any chipsets that'll do that speed, why bother?;) AMD is done with the classics, so you won't see any of those that'll run at 266FSB, ever.

Only the 'classic' K7 Athlon had 512KB of off-die L2 cache.

Get in mind the current 'Thunderbird' Athlon is faster than the classic Athlon.

Ahhhh, I see the light now! Thanks guys.

So has AMD released a 1.0 gig Thunderbird with a 266MHz FSB yet? They sure seem hard to come by if they have released them.

Yeah, Thunderbird 1.0ghz 266FSB chips are out. From where I bought my 1.0ghz 200FSB they were about $50 more expensive I think.
