Who was it that said two is better than one? at last they have taken notice of what geeks want, Dual CPU's, DDR memory, SLI Graphic's. What does it all add up to ? 2

Dual Opteron PCI Express

This board gives me a woody, now I just have to find a bank to rob to pay for it.

If it had integrated SB Live like the MSI K8N Diamond it would be the perfect board.

Edit: Name corrected to K8WE

Inte_grated. There's no grates involved. ;)

Analog Devices audio codecs aren't a bad thing, the signal quality being a function of board design attention.

Gaming board?

I can't imagine gamers wanting or needing to take advantage of PCI-X or onboard SCSI. That board's not a toy, it's a tool. Can you say workstation board?

I'm with you, waiting for a gaming nForce Professional board with PCI-e (x2 maybe, not necessary) and no onboard SCSI to run up the cost. I'm a gamer primarily, but I would like some serious power at home when I need it. :p

Too bad none of the games take advantage of dual processors. Or most applications for that matter.

Well, that's either really close to or exactly what I'm waiting for.... Now my pants are tight, too. :D I know Abit will make an nForce Pro board like this now that I've seen this.

Times change :) With dual-cores for desktop coming from both companies, smart money says devs are hard at work on support while we type. I have dual opterons now and life is good just because of the extra multitasking horsepower alone, supporting software&OS+64bit is just mo betta!

There are a few games that are smp already, including SW:Galxies, QIII, and some flight sims. There are more pro apps than that of course but once again, you can rest assured a shatload more for us windoze users will be hitting ;)
