Parallax Racing, with support from Pabst Racing, wins the 25 hours of Thunderhill!!
Bob Lojkovic AKA Fireball Bob, crossed the finish line today after 25 hours and 2 seconds of grueling action in Willows California. In the late hours of the race the team's hot shoe drivers Tonis Kasemets and Steve Knapp were able to stretch the teams lead to 25 laps over their nearest competitor. The teams Drivers Tonis Kasemets, Steve Knapp, Bob Lojkovic, Rick Bartuska, and Steve Kohli shard the driving duties necessary to complete over 650 laps in the 25 hour race duration. Pabst assembled a crack crew of 10 men who worked thru the night to keep the car running with fuel, tires, brakes and repairs to several potentially catastrophic problems. Pabst had anticipated every conceivable problem and handled broken suspensions and failed alternators and if they were everyday occurrences. Although not able to produce the quickest lap times the teams Daytona Prototype racer demonstrated superior reliability and consistency in winning the race.
Probabnly the most difficult endurance race on the planet.
Crawford Daytona prototype...........
