That doesn't really sit right with me. I don't like the way it's been turned into an ad...then again, Nike does similar ads with "Just Do It." :/

It hasn't really been turned into an ad, other then the Apple logo. Clicking on it brings you to a page on the biography of Rosa Parks, nothing to do with Apple.
The fact that a company feels so self important that they think their corporate slogan can describe something like that...it just doesn't sit right.Originally posted by: SLCentral

Fitting with their slogan doesn't make it appropriate.
"Hey, we think different because we make "special" computers. We're just like Rosa Parks!"

Those were two separate thoughts. I was noting that it fits well with their slogan. I then edited and added that I don't think it's inappropriate. I should have been more clear. I don't think it's inappropriate regardless of whether it fits with their slogan. I just don't have a problem with it.
Jeesh, you can't do anything close to nice without being criticized.

If it had simply been a picture (a SMALLER picture) with the dates, I wouldn't have a problem. Plastering their motto onto it is what makes it inappropriate.

and the fact that they don't acknowledge other famous deaths like Former Prisdent Gerald Ford who died yesterday at the age of 83 when he fell down the White House stairs
