Is there a technology out that scans your thumb to get the print with laser?

Instead of the common way of pressing on something to form the print.

I have seen them on laptops that scan your thumb print on glass for access to that computer. So, I'd say Yes.

Due to the 3 dimensional nature of the human thumb the only way to get an acurate read is to flatten the pad of the thumb on a surface and then scan.

Damn... so it isn't possible? would it be sufficient if there was holders to hold the thumb in place while it scans?

So how does the iris scanner work since that is pretty much 3d?

I wish there was somthing to scan vaginas before you stick something in there to know it's safe or not.

The iris of the eye is flat...afaik.
