thule/yakima tilt-down and swing-away hitch-mount bike racks?

I'm in the market for one, and I'm just wondering if the tilt-down or swing-away racks are all that worth the extra money, versus a fixed post kind. I can't really see my wife tilting down or swinging the rack out of the way (with 3 or 4 bikes on it) to get into the back hatch of the minivan. While I can see myself doing it, can anyone share their thoughts with me? Thx.

I have a Yakima tilt-down. My wife doesn't have a problem with tilting it down to get into the back of the SUV. Just two extra steps.
