So my GF wanted to take me to Six Flags this past Saturday. Well we got there about an hour after it opened and got to ride two rides without any wait which was awesome. After that second ride people started pouring into the park. We ended up riding only three rides in about 6 hours of being there. It took atleast two hours in line to ride one rollercoaster which to me, is ridiculous but thats not what really pissed me off.

The thing that pissed me off were all the damn thugs "chilling" at the various locations within the park. I mean whats the point of them being there??? They don't even ride the coasters, they just roam around. At one point me and the GF were walking and this group of them were standing right in the middle of the walkway. They didn't even care to be respectful to the man in the wheelchair trying to get around. Anyways, thats all the ranting for me.

Thugs are a$$holes.

at least they aren't getting into trouble on the streets. the problem today is many of the youths in America have no outlet for activity. "hanging out" is the only appealing option for teenagers in many places. Boredom leads to mischief. They are not inherently bad. They just need focused activities.

Whatever.

Those "thugs" are helping keeping the park in business & building more rides - all while letting you have a shorter line because they're not riding any of them.

Maybe that's why the "thugs" weren't riding any rides. What business is it of yours what they're doing with their time when they payed the same fee to get in that you did? If they get more enjoyment standing around and socializing than riding, I really can't see how that affected you.

And one group of people didn't move to let a guy in a wheelchair through, and that's somehow the fault of all these other people that you've decided to group into this category of "thug"? Also, please enlighten us on what a thug looks like.

So they were just standing around, and that pisses you off? Trust me, I like thugs less than you do. But they are kind of like hornets, if you dont mess with them, they dont mess with you.

And...I think your assumption that they are some sort of evil presence simply based on their appearance is probably unfounded as well. Sure we would both prefer to see people dressed as non threatening, law abiding citizens. But I think you are seeing things that arent there.

Next time try Billy Bobs, the worlds largest "beloved patriot tonk" in Fort Worth. No thugs in there.

So these guys did nothing to you, didn't even speak to you, and maybe failed to see guy approaching in a wheelchair, and they are therefore thugs? What would make them not thugs? Not being there at all?

Ok, I'll enlighten you. Having a row of "thugs" walking down the path running into anyone that doesn't move and not caring is pretty disrespectful and rude if you ask me.

He asked you what they look like, not what you thought of their behavior.

The Six Flags here in Cali is always full of thugs too with an occasional gang fight/stabbing/shooting, I tend to stay away from those parks.

It was 80 degrees outside and sunny. Most of them had on black coats with hoods covering their head.

There are always people standing around in the way. You need to expect that with any crowded place.

Thugs are a$$holes.

Do like I & my GF did. Took vacation & went on an idle tuesday. We rode everything in the park at least twice in a 5 hour period.

it can be a waste of money if you go in the wrong time of year.. granted, based on vacations and what-not, not everyone can be so picky as to when you visit an amusement park... nonetheless, there are great times of year to go, and horrible times of year to go.

for example: at Cedar Point, the summer rush (middle June to first week of September) is the WORST time to go, especially on weekends where families camp or stay in hotels to visit both the waterpark and amusement park. weekdays in May (even sunday's, but not expected) are dead, as kids are in school and adults are in work. same with sundays in september and october..
i tent to stick to those and dodge the summer rush season, since I have that luxury being a local (natively an hour away (in Toledo), now about 2.5 hours away being in Columbus during school), and would often skip a day of school (parent-approved mind you ;) and only when I would be able to make up work easily) with some buddies to hit up May weekdays. best times, because you can ride most rides back to back and get right into the station for the coaster, rarely a wait except for the BIG rides. Even then, Top Thrill Dragster would typically be 15 minutes, hardly counting as a line when compared to summer. :)
