Thuban in Metro 2033

Read the post again. Follow both links. It's more "OMG IT'S A REVIEWER CONSPIRACY!" stuff about bulldozer.

Yet, minimum framerate is really what counts when you play games.
No, minimum frame rates are not what really count. A popular misconception really. Average is what counts. You can have a 'micro-dip' where one or two frames drop precipitously but you wouldnt notice it in normal gameplay if the average is high. That is far more preferable than low averages (under 30 fps) with higher min frame rates.

The Bulldozer article also lacks any BF3 benchmarks which AMD is touting right now.

I'm looking forward to the performance reviews for this game when it launches in a couple of weeks.

You are correct, I did not get the wording right. Low averages count. Live charts would describe it best.

It is quite possible for BF3 to be an FX aware game. Soon we will find out.

Isn't that game horrible? Every time it's on steam for $5 bucks I read some reviews and run....fast.
I would not know, never played it myself. It just happens to be a high profile game for the benches.

With those links I just wanted to point out how inconsistent the reviews are.

I actually enjoyed it a lot. One of the best atmospheres ever, it's very consistent throughout the game and feels unique and 'human' despite the cliche post-apocalyptic theme. The combat could be better but it's still fun

depends on the game. Some games have extremely heavy scenes where the dip will last for 20 seconds during action. That's why we care about minimums.

FX aware? I doubt that, they will probably use their Graphics cards to hide Bulldozers shortcomings in gaming.
