Throat mics

So I've been using a POS Logitech desktop mic forever, and I recently got recruited into a clan and need a mic that I don't need lean over to talk into. I'd get a headset, but I have really nice headphones that I'm not willing to give up. I've been looking at various throat mics, and I think I found a decent one.

Does anyone have any experience with throat mics? How do they sound, feel, and in general work?

I'm not dead set on a throat mic per se, but I need something that will sit or attatch to my head / upper torso. Any recomendations?

I'm currently using the Zalman Mic-1 on a Audio Technica A900 for gaming. It's the best setup I've come up with so far but it's constantly changing, and sometimes I revert back to an older setup.

Throat mics reproduce voice well, which is what they're designed for. You'd probably be happy with the purchase if you don't mind dropping the cash.
