We need to take a lesson from China, one bullet each to the back of the head.

Hard for me to go to the place that knows what happened to the girls. Most disturbing that the perps were able to do this for 10 years without any giveaways.

Ramsey with Anderson Cooper

Here

Ramsey tells the operator an address which he says corresponds to Berry's location, not Ramsey's home address. "I'm smarter than that, bro. I'm telling you where the crime was, not my house," he says.

"Are the people that she said did this, are they still in the house?" the 911 operator asks.

"I don't have a f-----g clue, bro. Like I said, I just came from McDonald's."

The interview is incredible. Ramsey completely honest and unfiltered, have to love him.

Listen the 9/11 call, the dispatcher seems very incompetent. Scary, sounded like she didn't take it seriously at all. Was basically saying they will send a police later when they have time, and tried to hang up on the victim.

Edit: Turns on the dispatcher did in fact hang up on her.

Only thing that makes any sense to me is the operators are conditioned to false calls to a huge extent.

Ramsey's call was pretty lousy also, operator did not have any sense of immediacy or genuine concern. Operator was just going through the motions, but that type of person really shouldn't be a 911 dispatcher.

Even when the girl spoke to her and make it clear she was kidnapped and needed help, the operator still made it seem like no big deal and would send someone over later when they have time and hang up on her.

The operator wouldn't allow her to explain other people were trapped, thank goodness she forced the operator to send someone soon, or the other two could have been dead. She needs to be fired.

I take it she was raped and had a baby. Man what she had to go through. Her whole childhood was ruined. I hope she gets a lot of money so she can live life to the fullest.

Hope they reach out to the victims too.

McDonald's to Ohio man: 'We'll be in touch'

NEW YORK (AP) — McDonald’s says it will reach out to a man widely quoted in accounts of the three women who were found in Cleveland after they went missing about a decade ago.

Charles Ramsey, who lives in the neighborhood where the women were found, noted in an interview with a local TV station that he was eating McDonald’s when the scene unfolded Monday. He also made note of his meal in a 911 call. Both the interview and the 911 call went viral online.

On Tuesday, the world’s biggest hamburger company said on Twitter: ‘‘We salute the courage of Ohio kidnap victims & respect their privacy. Way to go Charles Ramsey — we'll be in touch.’’

Representatives for McDonald's, based in Oak Brook, Ill., did not immediately return calls for comment.

Here are some things in the newspaper today that, if true, make this even worse:

"Elise Clinton, who lives 3 houses away, said her daughter once saw a naked woman crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard several years ago and called police. But they didn't take it seriously."

''Another neighbor, Israel Lugo, said he heard pounding on someof the doors of Castro's house, which had plastic bags on the windows, in November, 2011. Lugo said officers knocked on the front door, but no one answered. They ... left."

"Lugo said he, his family and neighbors called the police 3 times between 2011 and 2012''.

Sad.

Similar, but drastically different.

In that case, a social worker and cops had numerous visits to the house, yet never checked the back yard or the garage/sheds, even after numerous complaints from neighbors for years on end.

the related article on the page says neighbors called cops about the girls crying for help.
Neighbours have told news organisations they had made multiple calls to police about the house to report women crying for help or pounding on doors.

these people usually have a dungeon in the basement and the girls are subdued psychologically.
It's not so weird that they couldn't flee earlier.

that article also says they were occasionally allowed in the yard

The article I read seemed poorly written (or rather, it was written to the average standard upheld at MSN.com) but it sounded like one of them had a child by her captor that they also brought out. So there's that cherry on top of the shit sundae for everyone to try and make the best of. Ugh.

yeah while most people are having fun with the neighbor, it's a pretty sad story. Amanda's mom died 3 years after she disappeared... so on top of having a kid from one of her captors (sad case for the child also), Amanda's mom is dead too.

Sad.

while i agree it's sad, there's only so much they can legally do.

for all they know, the person calling has a grudge against the person they are calling about. If they get there and there is no signs of an issue, they can't see or hear anything out of place, then what do you want them to do?

on a side note, Monday's Hawaii 5-0 dealt with a similar circumstance. girl was kidnapped and held for 10 years, then killed. Another girl was kidnapped to take her place. weird how that happened like that.

I realize there is only so much they can do when there is no evidence of a crime, but that doesn't make it any better that there was help just the other side of the door more than once and the girls couldn't get to it. :(

I saw that episode of Hawaii 5-0. I know it was filmed earlier but still, what are the odds it would air the same week all this came out? Castle this week was about a murder by remote controlled government drone - another timely plot.

In an awesome world they'd have Ramsey pitching McDonalds in uncensored live spots on TV. Shit Ramsey says :^D

He'll probably get one of those lifetime free mcdonalds cards like Warren Buffet has.

I read another article which said the women were all sexually abused, impregnated, and beaten while they were pregnant causing multiple miscarriages. Really sad...it's going to take a lot of years of healing and care for all of these poor women, and even then they're probably never going to be able to lead a normal life.

These Castro dudes deserve to DIAF.

Anderson Cooper mentioned to him, "has the FBI mentioned anything about a reward or anything because there was a reward for finding her."

"I'll tell you what to do. Give it to them."

What an awesome guy.
