I'm currently involved in a deal with another AT member.

I sold him a CPU, motherboard, and HS/fan combo. I have already received PayPal funds from a verified PayPal address, but have not shipped the items yet.

He PMs me today asking if I'm willing to ship the CPU to another AT member instead. I PM'd the third party, they are involved in a straight across trade for the CPU. The third party needs a CPU ASAP, shipping it directly to them would help them out.

My buyer has already offered to cover the extra shipping charges, but I'm not 100% sure how I feel about being part of a 3 way deal.

I won't mention names, if they want to ID themselves that's fine, I'm just looking for opinions.

If they have established credentials, and they are willing to pay for a method of shipping that requires a signature.... then I would do it.

But that is me... your milage may vary!

agreed, they better have something :

Ebay feedback, heatware, verified paypal, the works. It seems kinda fishy, but *shrugs* probally legit too.

I agree with the previous replies. As long as both people have good credentials and you cover your ass with signature confirmation. I'd be really suspicious about it though. Good luck whatever you decide.

if you have any doubts, don't do it. I will say I did a sort-of 3 way trade recently. I sold a guy a used xbox and he wanted me to ship it to his friend to mod. I did it, but made the guy agree that if I didn't hear from him within 3 days of receipt we would agree that the xbox worked fine upon receipt. I didn't want any liability if his friend botched the mod job.

Depends. If you're talking about some established forum members then fine. Otherwise... I'd pass.

If the person you're selling to paid you already and said to send it to the third party, I see nothing wrong with it.

Gregg,

In this situation, if you don't know the other's credentials I would steer clear. If they both have good heat or something of that nature then yeah, go for it.

If he's payed you already and said he'll pay for the shipping... I don't see how a problem could come up?
