I think the authors is missing her target audience or maybe she has hit a bullseye.
Regardless I’m not going to comment on the contents of the book because I haven’t read it.
I will say Republicans have some right ideas regarding a “cure” for poverty just most of their ideas are moronic.

The most important thing I can tell you that I can think of to answer your questions here is a comment by a Zen Master that still may not be of any immediate help but can maybe be filed away where it can seep into awareness at it own pace.
